Pet Companion
Every character has a pet companion. Yours starts as the cat Mittens of Doom, and you can swap it for another kind or give it a name of your own. It is a small, friendly extra: it never changes your stats, your gold or your fights.
The five kinds
You can choose from 5 kinds (rat, cat, raven, bat, ghost). Each one comes with its own flavour name, and you can rename your pet to anything you like up to 20 characters.

Where it lives
Your pet sleeps on the chat button in the corner of the screen. It only appears on desktop-sized screens, so you will not see it on a phone.
- Click it: the pet performs a random trick.
- Leave it be: an awake pet now and then pokes the chat icon on its own.
- Right-click it: a small menu opens with Ask a question, Wake up (or Go to sleep), and Change pet or rename.
Sleeping and waking
An awake pet drifts back to sleep after a while without attention, and it always goes to sleep when you open the chat panel, so the two never overlap. Click a sleeping pet to wake it, or use Wake up in the right-click menu. Go to sleep in the same menu sends it back to bed at once.
Changing or renaming your pet
Choose Change pet or rename from the menu to open the chooser. Pick one of the kinds, edit the name if you like, and save. Picking a kind fills in that kind's own name until you start typing, and names can be up to 20 characters. Offensive names are turned down, so pick something else if yours is refused.
Asking your pet a question
Choose Ask a question from the menu and a small box opens above the pet. Type your question and press Enter to send it. Questions can be up to 300 characters. The pet answers about the realm, using this wiki and its own knowledge of the game.
You can ask up to 20 questions a day. The box always shows how many you have left today, and the count resets each day at midnight UTC.
Your questions are sent to Google's AI to be answered. Do not share personal information in them.
When the pet cannot find an answer, it says so and offers a link that opens a prefilled letter to Mortek, so a person can pick the question up. See also the Game Guide.
